About

Bookmark.free is a place to keep links. You save a page with a bookmarklet, give it a couple of tags and a note if you want one, and it's there when you come looking for it later.

What it does

• Saves a link in two clicks from any page, via a bookmarklet.
• Tags, and search across titles, URLs and notes.
• Marks things unread so you can come back to them.
• Keeps each link public or private, one at a time.
• Gives you a public page at /@username with an RSS feed.
• Imports from your browser or Pinboard, and exports to both.

What it doesn't do

No social graph, no recommendations, no reading-time estimates, no AI summaries. It's a list of links you chose to keep.

Your data

Private bookmarks are visible only to you. Your email address is used for password resets and nothing else — it is never shown on the site. You can export everything as JSON or a standard browser bookmarks file at any time, and deleting your account takes your bookmarks with it.
